Hord Farms has an opening to join our present team. We currently grow corn, beans, wheat, and barley, in addition to raising pigs and cattle. Desirable candidate must have experience operating farm equipment. We strive to use the latest technology and being familiar with John Deere operating systems would be a plus.

Job Duties:

  • Operate heavy machinery such as tractors, manure tanks, trucks, trailers
  • Follow and enforce the best management practices and policies for manure handling
  • Adhere to bio-security policies when moving between different farm locations
  • Ensure that correct application procedures are followed both internally and externally
  • Help maintain overall appearances of facilities
  • General maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Follow safety procedures at all times
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
  • Work additional hours as needed including during peak farm seasons
  • Provide feedback to team leaders


  • Basic knowledge of farming operations, including environmental and crop operations
  • Experience with using hay equipment, skid loaders, tractors, manure equipment, power tools
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, positive, team-oriented and respectful of other team members
  • Willingness to learn and carry-out complex instructions effectively
  • Ability to problem solve when unexpected situations arise

  • Desire and ability to work in a physically active environment, mainly outdoors
  • Candidates must not currently own or have routine contact with non-Hord pigs

Truck Wash Supervisor

The Truck Wash Supervisor plays an integral role in ensuring that all washing and sanitizing protocols are followed by employees, in addition to driving equipment from truck wash locations, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate has related work experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
